We are looking for a Software / Electrical RUP Engineer to join our global team. 


As a Software / Electrical RUP Engineer you will prepare and be responsible for the software and electrical design including installation instructions for upgrade projects for existing spreaders, ensure the testing and be responsible for the quality of the solutions delivered, and that it is according to required standards and directives, as well as lead and coordinate the customer projects.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and responsible for RUP software, electrical design, electrical drawing specification, and installation instructions
  • Create software and electrical design/BOM list for customer quotations & customer orders
  • Prepare cost & price calculations for software & electrical design
  • Proactively implement solutions to improve RUP quality (not only in design but also as part of the rest of the order to delivery process)
  • Drive and responsible for software & electrical RUP quality (from order to delivery)
  • Responsible to support software & electrical RUP projects during installation
  • Develop and design testing solutions and prepare test instructions for software and electrical RUP (Retrofit & Upgrade Projects) design
  • Coordinate with regional teams and engineers to ensure project execution meets technical specifications and compliance standards (e.g. CE requirements), including RUP software and electrical design
  • Act as a technical representative in New Product Development projects, while also mentoring new engineers and providing technical support for spare parts and related inquiries.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education:

  • BSc or MSc in Software or Electrical Engineering.

 
Experience:

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in software design or electrical circuitry, ideally in industrial or heavy machinery settings.

 
Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency with electrical control system and software platforms such as CoDeSys or similar
  • Experience in design tools such as EPLAN, E3 PRO, or equivalent
  • Understanding of machinery standards, power supply systems, and electrical control systems
  • Background in service operations and evaluating designs from both internal and customer perspectives
  • Strong skills in technical documentation and report writing
  • Technical hands-on experience with global customer engagement
  • Familiarity with Google Suite tools for day-to-day collaboration.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Strong team player, contributing to design improvement and product growth
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and creative with a problem-solving mindset
  • Skilled at prioritizing resources, profitability, and market needs
  • Strong technical analytical skills with an interest in sharing knowledge
  • Effective communicator, delivering results and meeting customer expectations.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, writing and speaking
  • Other language skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel.
