As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing commissioning of high complexity products and providing advisory services to customers and/or third-party contractors on existing and/or new equipment and components. Your role is critical for ensuring products are installed correctly and maintained efficiently to meet customer specifications.
What are your key responsibilities:
- Expert Commissioning & Repair: Conduct comprehensive spreader commissioning, installation, and warranty repair work on new equipment.
- Reactive & Preventative Service: Perform preventative and reactive service calls, including diagnosis and repair of products and systems to meet customer specifications.
- Technical Consulting & Inspection: Provide expert technical assistance and advice for installation and troubleshooting, and carry out site inspections upon customer request.
- Customer Training: Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to customers on product maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Reporting & Sales Support: Maintain accurate job and project records, report on completed work with future recommendations, and identify potential RUP (Repair/Upgrade) opportunities for sales management.

What you bring to the role:

Qualification and Experience: Hold a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Cargo Management Industry.

Strong Technical Acumen: Possess strong technical knowledge of the product and service processes, including the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Software Skills (Preferred): A strong understanding of, and experience in, PLC software programming is preferred.

Communication and Influence: Demonstrate good written and communication skills with all levels of management, including the ability to effectively present and influence others.

Independent Team Player: Exhibit a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently on assignments and projects, while also being a collaborative team player.
