To lead the design, development, research, and technological upgrade of all manufacturing equipment, customized tools, jigs, and fixtures and Serve as the primary technical consultant, providing expert solutions and advice to stakeholders to drive performance and efficiency improvements.

What are your key responsibilities:

 

  • Manufacturing Equipment Strategy and Upgrade: Drive continuous improvement and productivity gains by developing, introducing, and implementing technological upgrades and enhancements to process equipment.

  • Tooling and Fixture Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and implement all production jigs and fixtures to meet strict manufacturing and quality requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Technical Consultation: Collaborate effectively with Process Engineering and other functional teams to define requirements for new tools and equipment modifications, ensuring seamless integration into production.

  • Specialized Design and Simulation: Execute specialized mechanical design projects, including simulating spreader loads and developing specific transportation jigs/solutions for safe shipping and handling.

  • Tooling Standardization and Quality Assurance: Establish standardization protocols and conduct final buy-off for all production jigs and fixtures to ensure performance consistency and quality across the manufacturing line.

  • Project Support and Delivery: Provide dedicated engineering support and technical expertise for key organizational projects to ensure successful, on-time delivery of critical milestones.

What you bring to the role:

 

  • Minimum Education: Diploma in an Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Manufacturing, or equivalent).

  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD design software and standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Office Suite).

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to develop creative and innovative (out-of-the-box) solutions.

  • Work Ethic & Independence: Highly motivated, capable of working effectively independently with minimal supervision, and possessing a high drive for enacting positive change.

  • Adaptability: Must be flexible and adaptable to manage new tasks, shifting priorities, and evolving project requirements.
