As a Service Engineer based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, you will be responsible for servicing our high‑complexity products. Your collaborative contributions will ensure our clients receive exceptional service and support for both new and existing equipment, fostering trust and operational excellence.
The role requires travel primarily throughout the Benelux region to provide hands-on, on‑site expertise to our customers. Occasional travel within Europe may also be required.
What are your key responsibilities:
- Service operations: Carry out service operations, preventative maintenance, and warranty‑related repairs on spreaders.
- Insightful Recommendations: Conduct thorough site inspections and identify opportunities to suggest helpful parts, refurbishments, and upgrades that truly support our customers.
- Collaborative Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance for the installation and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Responsive Servicing: Undertake preventative and responsive service calls, ensuring product and system repairs meet our customers' needs and specifications.
- Knowledge Sharing: Cultivate community by delivering technical training and sharing valuable knowledge on product maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair with our
customers. - Commissioning: Carry out commissioning and installation of newly delivered spreaders units.

What you bring to the role:
- Education & Experience: Educational background in Electronics, PLC Programming, or an equivalent technical field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant business/product experience, specifically involving service work or assembling large industrial machinery.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical drawings. Foundational understanding of PLC software programming and hands-on experience with heavy machinery.
- Systems & Diagnostics: Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems. Strong computer literacy combined with advanced fault-finding and error-diagnostic logic.
- Compassionate Communication: Excellent written and spoken English, paired with warm interpersonal skills that allow you to comfortably connect, communicate, and build consensus with others. Fluency in Dutch is required, and German is considered a merit.
- Collaborative Team Player: You deeply value teamwork while also feeling confident in independently nurturing assignments to completion
- Commitment to Documentation: Diligent and thoughtful documentation skills to ensure transparent and clear communication across teams.
- Flexibility & Presence: A willingness to travel throughout the Benelux region to support our customers on‑site, with occasional travel within Europe.
