Service Engineer

We're making every move count
- Perform commissioning of high complexity products.
- Provide advisory services to customers and/or third party contractors on existing and/or new equipment and components.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Commissioning, Installation and Inspection
- Carry out spreader commissioning and installation work on newly delivered spreaders and attend to all spreader warranty repair works.
- Provide technical assistance and advice for the installation and troubleshooting of any equipment and components on the spreader to the service agent
- Carry out site inspection on spreaders upon customers' request
Sales Management - RUP
- Identify potential RUP work and make recommendations to customers
Service Call Management
- Carry out service calls on a preventative and reactive basis as required, undertaking service and repair of products and systems to meet customers’ requirements and specification
Service Operational Excellence
- Keep accurate records regarding job progress, delays, problems, deliveries, changes, extras, and fabrication data. Report back on the completed projects outlining the activities carried out, faults found during service and any future recommendations for improving the service offering.
Customer Training
- Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer on product knowledge, maintenance, trouble shooting and repair to customers
What you’ll need to succeed
Education
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Career Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Cargo Management Industry
Technical Skills:
- Exceptional documentation and execution skills
- Stong technical knowlege of product
- Service knowledge
- Strong understanding in PLC software Programming preferred
- Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
Soft Competencies
- Good written and communication skill with all levels of management
- Ability to influence
