Spare Parts Interpreter

We're making every move count
To provide timely resolution of external client parts inquiries, support parts operation through the maintenance of Parts inventory data, discrepancy processing and non-conforming material disposition.
Main tasks and responsibilities

- Report any incidences of non-compliance to relevant manager
Operational Performance
- Price & Availability questions responded to within 1 hour of receipt
- 1800 number calls to be responded to within 3 rings
- Knowledge of local suppliers and what they stock for emergency parts
- Contact point for communications with overseas suppliers
- Clarify confusing product data and rectify errors, and reporting errors to the data source
- Assist with annual return processing
- Managing Parts Discrepancies
Parts Planning and Initiatives
- Understand Min-Max and assist with ensuring that stock handling is kept with an average level of stock for a 6 monthly turnover
- Pre-empt bulk stock orders and utilize container shipments for large orders where possible
- Identify obsolete stock and work with spare parts team to clear this stock
- Review new model equipment introduction to market & assist with identifying high turnover parts that should be stocked
Stock Control
- All parts ordered by customer are entered into Scala and invoiced
- Freight and Logistics for Spare Parts
- Provide timely and accurate freight quotes to customers (internal & external) for imported deliveries.
- Work with 3PL provider to ensure parts are dispatched in a timely manner.
- Calculation of freight charges and invoicing freight recharges daily
- Notification of dealer of freight details and supply of goods and freight invoices
Debtor Control
- No debtors to exceed 60 days AFTER the middle of the current month
- Any debtors in 60 days are reminded of policy, terms & conditions
- No COD customers to have monies outstanding – investigated immediately
- No parts released to customers exceeding their credit limit
