Reliability Engineer

About the Role:

 

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Reliability Engineer to support our TM2 contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of mobile equipment, implementing maintenance strategies, and analyzing performance data to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should have experience with Lean tools to optimize maintenance processes and improve operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies to enhance equipment uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Analyze failure modes and effects (FMEA) to identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work closely with maintenance, product support and engineering teams to optimize maintenance plans and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance planning using condition monitoring techniques.
  • Utilize Lean tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma to drive process improvements.
  • Develop performance KPIs and track reliability metrics to measure effectiveness.
  • Prepare technical reports, reliability studies, and recommendations for equipment lifecycle management.
  • Provide training and mentoring to maintenance teams on reliability best practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or similar).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or asset management.
  • Strong expertise in Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and data-driven maintenance planning.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Fluency in French and English is preferred.
