Project Manager, IM Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager, Information Management Infrastructure to join our Information Management department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of projects related to IT infrastructure opportunities, ensuring their successful delivery within scope, on time, and within budget. You will play a crucial role in modernizing and optimizing our IT infrastructure to support Kalmar's business objectives.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Leading all aspects of IT infrastructure projects: From planning and execution to risk management and progress tracking. Defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Collaborating effectively with stakeholders: Building relationships, communicating clearly, and ensuring cross-organizational alignment.
- Possessing strong technical expertise: Specifically in network infrastructure, data centers, cloud computing, and end-user computing.
- Managing vendors: Evaluating and participating in the selection of vendors for IT infrastructure projects.
- Continuously improving: Identifying opportunities to enhance project management practices within the department and contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or another Project Management certification is highly desirable.
Experience:
- Proven track record of successfully managing IT infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years of experience in a project management role.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts, technologies, and best practices.
Competencies:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in an additional European language (both written and spoken) preferred.
- Located in Europe (at one of Kalmar’s locations - Bulgaria, Finland, Poland, etc.)
