Are you passionate about data architecture and cloud technologies?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Solution Owner for the Data Hub, acting as a family leave substitute for our Solution Architect, Data Platform. In this fixed-term role, you will play a crucial part in shaping and driving the design, development, and architecture of our data hub - central to managing Kalmar’s business data - leveraging cutting-edge Google Cloud technology. If you have a strong background in data platform solutions and a strategic mindset for product ownership, this is your chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Main tasks and responsibilities
As the technical solution owner for Kalmar’s BI Cloud Data Hub, you will:
- Oversee design, development, and architecture of the Data Hub on GCP
- Own and maintain the development roadmap and product backlog
- Collect and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Prioritize development activities to maximize user and business value
- Manage solution releases, change control, and performance monitoring
- Ensure alignment with security, governance, and compliance standards
- Link solutions to end-user services, support, and training
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience in BI, Data & Analytics development, and data modeling
- Experience in establishing and managing self-service BI environments
- Strong capability to function as a Product Owner
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (especially GCP; AWS experience also beneficial)
- Understanding of financial processes and reporting requirements
- Strong communication skills with both technical and business audiences
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
