In this role you will be responsible for promoting and selling the Kalmar terminal tractors solutions and services and collect customer insights to support the design of the future customer centric solutions.

 

The location of this position is within France / Spain and Italy. You will report to the Sales Development Lead TT, Europe.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Identify and promote all terminal tractors business opportunities in the Mediterranean area (France, Italy, Greece, Israel, Turkey)
  • Create and own a structured sales plan to achieve sales targets
  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business
  • Maintain relationships and further develop business opportunities with existing customers
  • Ensure sufficient contact is made at all levels within a customer/prospect account as part of the TT Europe growth strategy
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
  • Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to line manager within the organisation so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands
  • Utilise the company systems and tools to manage and record all respective business activities within the CRM tool
  • Ensure that the company standards and policies are maintained, particularly with regards to the code of conduct in business activities
  • Collaborate with sales teams in France and Italy to align efforts to execute a common TT sales plan
  • Support sales teams in the Mediterranean area as a TT expert to maximise customer value
  • Act as Port segment expert in the TT sales team and share insights with team members
  • Ask support from other team members on their expert areas (distribution and industrial). 

What you’ll need to succeed

Education

  • Typically higher level or vocational qualification / relevant working experience.

 

Experience

  • Experience in handling sales in heavy equipment or Material Handling sector
  • Local business knowledge related to warehouse equipment, forklifts, construction machinery, container handling or similar mobile equipment
  • Minimum technical knowledge (mechanical and hydraulic or electrical)
  • Experience in creating solutions and good commercial business acumen.
