Are you passionate about transforming financial data into strategic business insights? Join Kalmar as a Business Controller and play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making, operational efficiency, and financial performance across our global organization.
As a Business Controller, you will combine your expertise in finance and data analytics to deliver high-quality insights that shape business strategy, performance management, and continual improvement. You’ll partner with leaders across Sales, Product Line, and R&D to translate data into decisions that drive results.

What are your key responsibilities:
- Data-Driven Decision Support: Design, develop, and maintain data analytics solutions, dashboards, and reports that provide clear, actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Business Partnering: Act as a trusted finance partner for divisional leaders and functional managers, translating operational drivers into financial impacts and guiding effective budget management.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Monitor monthly financial results versus plan, automate recurring reports, and focus your time on explaining key performance drivers and recommending corrective actions.
- Digital Finance & Automation: Collaborate with IM and Kalmar’s analytics teams to build digital finance capabilities, develop self-service analytics, and improve process efficiency through automation and predictive insights.
- Financial Accuracy & Control: Ensure accuracy in planning, forecasting, and reporting across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. Implement finance policies and controls to ensure compliance and consistency across the division.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead or contribute to initiatives enhancing data quality, analytics automation, and forecasting accuracy - helping shape the future of digital finance at Kalmar.

What you bring to the role:
- Educational Background in Finance & Analytics: You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (MBA). A background combining finance with data analytics, statistics, or information systems is a strong advantage.
- Professional Experience: You have at least 3 years of experience in business or financial control in a global environment, with exposure to large international organizations.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: You are proficient in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and familiar with SQL or cloud-based data environments. You bring advanced spreadsheet modeling and scenario analysis skills.
- Financial Acumen: You understand financial processes, ERP systems, and consolidation tools (e.g., HFM), and can translate operational drivers into financial outcomes.
- Strong Communicator & Partner: You excel in communicating complex insights clearly, building trust with stakeholders, and influencing decision-making across diverse teams.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: You are curious, proactive, and eager to enhance data accuracy, automation, and analytical capabilities to strengthen business performance.
