Development Engineer Electric

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Development Engineer specializing in electric systems to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have a solid background in electrical engineering and a passion for developing innovative electric solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and testing electric components and systems to meet our clients' growing needs.


The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out work within development of systems and components within the CB division. Development work is based on customer needs, legislation and internal requirements and according to business strategies.


Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To lead assigned work with partners, consultants and suppliers
  • Develop components and systems and secure that specified technical customer demands, product safety,legislations requirements and internal demands are met
  • Define specification for components and systems in cooperation with PSE and Chief Engineers
  • In consultation with PSE coordinate components and systems design between products
  • To ensure cooperation between team function and Sourcing and Operation
  • Responsibility for regularly reporting to the responsible Line Manager regarding outcome and possible deviations
  • In consultation with the responsible Line Manager and PSE define a test plan, purchase components,execute and evaluate outcome where a need has been identified
  • In consultation with responsible PSE and Line Manager perform customer and supplier visits.

 

What you’ll need to succeed


Education:

  • B.Sc or M.Sc. degree within relevant field or similar knowledge through experience.

 

Experience:

  • Solid technical knowledge regarding non-road mobile machinery or similar rubber tire vehicles
  • Experience of product development activities within mechanical engineering is needed
  • Experience from similar tasks are qualifying
  • Experience regarding other Kalmar products are qualifying.
