At Kalmar, we are accelerating our development of sustainable solutions for decarbonised and electric equipment, as well as driver assistance and autonomous functions, and we are now looking for a talented and driven R&D Engineering Trainee to join our Counter Balanced (CB) Division R&D team and play a pivotal role in transforming the logistics industry.
As an R&D Engineering Trainee, you will engage in all aspects of design and product development, to gain a good understanding of, and help to improve, both our products and how they are developed.
The position is based in Ljungby, Sweden (offering potential for a hybrid work arrangement) and you will report directly to the Vice President R&D.
Main tasks and responsibilities
In this role, you will engage in collaborative endeavours with the R&D Leadership team to gain invaluable insights from all teams within R&D. The one-year program will be structured into distinct rotations throughout the year, providing you with hands-on projects in various departments. Each rotation will be supported by a designated function head who will serve as your tutor, offering guidance and expertise.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Pursuing a Masters degree, preferably in Engineering
- Demonstrated ability in engineering and product development, preferably within similar industries.
