What are your key responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Strategy Architecture: Orchestrate the annual global strategy cycle, ensuring a seamless link between our long-term vision and mid-term operational plans.

  • Alignment & Prioritization: Partner with the business to prioritize key strategic initiatives, ensuring global resources are aligned with our highest-impact goals.

  • Strategic Foresight: Lead the development and evolution of foresight processes to anticipate major market shifts, enhancing Kalmar’s long-range strategic agility.

  • Strategic Risk Oversight: Own and run the global Kalmar Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) processes to protect strategy execution.

What we offer you:

Respect is how we work - across departments, across borders, across job titles.

  • Rewards that truly count: Enjoy meaningful rewards that support your everyday life and well-being, including a company mobile phone, a flexible Edenred benefit for lunch, commuting, or wellness services, and comprehensive healthcare through Mehiläinen, enhanced by our health insurance fund for additional coverage and peace of mind.

  • Safety that moves us forward: Build your career with a company rooted in safety since the 1940s, ensuring stability and an environment that empowers you to speak and be heard.

  • Work-life balance: We prioritise work-life balance, providing flexible working hours and a hybrid work model tailored to meet both your needs and those of your team in Helsinki.

  • Purpose that drives change: You’ll contribute to solutions that transform global trade, creating environmental and operational innovations. You’ll be in the driver’s seat of ideas, developing digital technologies that set industry standards and position us as the forerunner.

  • People who move together: You’ll collaborate with leadership teams and global experts who build lasting relationships through deep industry connection, shared insights, and a commitment to sustainability.

Become part of our global network of 5,200 professionals across 120+ countries, where your work drives innovation, sustainability, and meaningful impact around the world.

What you bring to the role:

  • Academic Foundation: A Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Management, or a similar advanced field.

  • Professional Background: Minimum 5 years of professional experience carrying out similar responsibilities within a top-tier strategy consulting firm or an internal corporate strategy team.

  • Methodological Mastery: Deep, structured knowledge of strategy frameworks, deployment processes, and corporate risk methods.

  • Domain & Industry Knowledge: Relevant understanding of heavy logistics, ports and terminals, distribution, industrial automation, or intermodal sectors.

  • Analytical Narrative & Facilitation: Advanced communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. You possess the rare ability to command a room, lead executive workshops, and turn complex data into clear, fact-based action plans.
