National Used Equipment Manager

This role will be based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and will report to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and controlling the Used Equipment business within Oceania including:
- Selling and hiring Kalmar’s Used fleet of equipment and achieving 100% utilisation
- Managing and growing the Used Equipment Business and the Oceania secondary equipment market
- Delivering agreed financial objectives, including revenues and gross margins
- Implementing sales and marketing strategies

Main tasks and responsibilities
To ensure that the Company’s sales and profit strategy is clearly articulated, agreed and that it follows the marketing strategy.
- To deliver, in conjunction with the marketing plan, revenue, volume, growth in Used Equipment and Company brands.
- To control Used Equipment margins including selling prices, leasing/rental offers within the parameters agreed in the sales and marketing plan
- To achieve the gross profit targets
- To develop used equipment refurbishment plans to compliment a strong and profitable secondary used equipment market within Oceania
- To ensure value for money with all Company expenses
What you’ll need to succeed
- A strong commercial background in the Used Equipment Sector is essential
- Established network
- Sales and account management experience
- Relationship-building strengths
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Have an engaging manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to deal with all levels of the organization
- Willingness to travel
- Drivers license and own car
