Making your next move count


Based in Ottawa, KS, our interns gain experience while providing technical and process improvement support for the Order Management Team. The role is a technical interface with Product and Sales Management team, Americas region Front Line Sales, and Americas assembly facilities in early phases of a customer order.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Help sales companies create accurate Terminal Tractor specifications; recommend options or configurations for improved customer satisfaction, reduced costs, or increased standardization
  • Help sales companies match terminal tractor configurations to customers’ needs, performance specifications, and regulatory requirements. Answer questions about price, availability, and application
  • Review sales orders to ensure clarity in specification, delivery, and financial details. Identify potential supply chain disruptions early in the order process to minimize risk to revenue and late deliveries. 
  • Facilitate effective handover to order administration team with minimal rework of orders; support accurate and timely order revisions when the need arises
  • Collaborate with sales companies to determine what modifications to the standard terminal tractor offering are required to meet customer needs
  • Analyze sales order statistics and present conclusions to terminal tractor leadership team to drive business decisions
     

What you’ll need to succeed

  • College student (Junior or higher) majoring in Engineering or Business fields
  • Evidence of initiative, proactive problem-solving, and process orientation required
  • Preference given to candidates with previous work or classroom experience in similar tasks or manufacturing industry
  • Preference given to candidates possessing above-average spreadsheet and mathematical capabilities.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in Google software suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Forms, Gmail, etc)
