Kalmar Solutions, LLC is looking for a Product Manager, Terminal Tractors who will be responsible for the current product and solution offerings including short-to-medium term strategy in the Terminal Tractors division. This person will also develop and execute the product strategy for assigned product groups.
Compensation Data
- Base Salary: $120K + (DOE)
- Eligible for Annual Bonus
- Eligible for Annual Salary Review/Increase
What are your key responsibilities:
- Product Management: Product life-cycle management for the Terminal Tractors division; develop and implement strategic plan for the Terminal Tractors product group; develop company-wide go-to-market plan and oversee the launch and delivery of new releases; develop roadmaps, positioning, pricing, options and basic configurations for the current product profolio; provide product leadership and support to other functions; manage product portfolio
- Engineering Changes & New Product Development: Initiate and drive the development of new product models, solutions, features, and options for the current portfolio; schedule and plan the delivery of all product improvements; contribute to product development plans;
- Sales & Marketing Development: Participate in sales and marketing activities; attend external events and presentations
- Customer Relationship Management: Product and solution knowledge to support Market Regions and distribution network; communication of current solutions, product offerings and product improvements; schedule, plan and conduct the delivery of Product and solution training
- Research, Analysis & Reporting: Competitor research/analysis (offerings, solutions, products, comparisons & strategy); create & maintain fact based analyses for business cases for new product opportunities; Market analysis
- Budgeting & Finance: Participate in annual budget planning; P&L responsibilities for the assigned product line; ensure profitability through effective product management accross product group;

What you bring to the role:
- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar combined with equivalent experience
- Technical Expertise: Minimum of 5 years' product management experience with emphasis on product planning and life-cycle management; Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical sales/sales support; deep product & solutions knowledge of heavy machines (material handling); knowledge of container terminal business processes; segment knowledge of ports & terminals, distribution industry, intermodals; strong understanding of value drivers in product offering; and experience with release and product roadmap planning and management

- Customer Focus: Ability to build solid relationships with customers; good communication skills (verbal and written)
