We are looking for a dynamic Country Manager to lead Kalmar’s operations in Panamá and America Central region, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence in the sale and service of heavy equipment for cargo handling. In this pivotal role, you will align local execution with our global strategy, represent Kalmar before key customers and stakeholders, and lead a high-performing team committed to safety, service excellence, and long-term value creation.
What are your key responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Execute and lead Kalmar’s strategy in the country/region to achieve targets and expand the service business.

Market Analysis & Growth: Analyze competitive positioning, identify growth opportunities across key sectors, and define strategies for market differentiation.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Kalmar with major clients, partners, and authorities, fostering long-term, value-driven relationships.

Operational & Financial Ownership: Drive full P&L accountability, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and deliver strong financial and operational performance.

People Leadership: Lead, develop, and retain top talent while promoting Kalmar’s leadership principles, performance culture, and clear strategic communication.

QEHS & Compliance Excellence: Implement and continuously improve QEHS practices, ensuring safe, ethical, and sustainable business operations.

What you bring to the role:

Education & Expertise: Degree in Technical or Business Management, with senior experience in sales, service, or marketing.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate global strategy into strong local execution.

Commercial & Technical Strength: Proven B2B negotiation experience and strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment and services

Leadership Capability: Skilled in team development, communication, and conflict management.

Operational & Financial Skills: Experience managing budgets, performance metrics, and P&L.
- Global Mindset: Ability to work effectively across cultures and functions, with fluency in English and at least one regional language.
