Warranty Handler and Supplier Reclaiming Expert

Are you an experienced within Warranty and Purchasing, with a passion for Quality? Kalmar's Counter Balanced division seeks someone with your expertise! You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, lead activities and engage with suppliers for warranty terms & contractual obligation.

The position is located in Panama and you will report to the Head of Product Quality and Q reclaiming, Counter Balanced Division.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Review supplier recovery behavior, trends, delinquencies and set up engagement strategies, reviews / audits and negotiations across the supplier commodity mix and provide input in supplier contractual processes.
  • Negotiation with suppliers for both conditions with/without a written contract with suppliers.
  • Work closely with sourcing/SD organizations for supplier quality issues.
  • Collaborate with global sourcing for warranty agreement improvement (coverage and warranty level.
  • Regular warranty claim follow up.
  • Collaborate with product support to improve the claim handling.
  • Better/clearer information for the claim clear responsibility internal vs external
  • Administration work in supplier claim system and return of non-conformity components to supplier if needed.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, business or related field

 

Experience:
6+ years' experience with Warranty, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Quality or related field
3+ years of experience working with suppliers, supply chain management, or quality
2+ years' experience working in a large global matrixed organization
1+ year of data analysis experience (MS Excel, Power Point, ERP)

 

Competencies:

  • Strong commercial background and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Collaboration skills
  • Ability to do independent work as well as teamwork
  • Ability to travel to suppliers
  • Desire to develop and continuously enhance your own work and nearby processes
  • Great accuracy, analytical ability and well structured
  • Basic financial knowledge
  • Understanding of manufacturing process for different types of parts would be a plus
