Purpose of Position:

 

You will serve as the primary technical interface between Product Management, Sales,
Engineering and Manufacturing, by bridging the gap between complex customer operational
requirements and factory engineering capabilities. Your goal is to ensure that every terminal
tractor is technically optimized for the specific duty cycle of the customer. You are responsible
for the technical integrity of the solution, identifying potential supply chain risks during the
quoting phase, and proposing strategic configurations to ensure both performance and
delivery reliability.

 

What are your key responsibilities:

 

  • Partner with dealers and sales companies to create accurate Terminal Tractor
    specifications; recommend options or configurations for improved customer satisfaction,
    reduced costs, or increased standardization.
  • Help dealers and sales companies match terminal tractor configurations to customers’
    needs, performance specifications, and regulatory requirements. Answer questions about
    price, availability, and application.
  • Review high complexity and key account quotes and sales orders to ensure technical and
    financial accuracy. Proactively Identify and communicate potential supply chain constraints
    to sales, proposing alternative technical specifications to protect delivery timelines and
    margins.
  • Facilitate effective handover to order administration team with minimal rework of orders;
    support accurate and timely order revisions when the need arises.
  • Own the end to end special option process, ensure on time and accurate responses to the
    sales teams and dealers.
  • Maintain and optimize sales tools and configurators, ensuring sales and dealers have
    access to the most current product information and compatibility logic.
  • Represent Order Management function in research and development projects, ensuring
    the voice of the customer is integrated into the order management processes and tools
    during the design.

What you bring to the role:

 

Experience:

  •  5+ years experience in a mobile industrial equipment sales role (i.e. terminal tractors,
    forklift trucks, telehandlers, container moving equipment, etc.)
  • 2+ years experience in a cargo logistics industry (i.e. container handling, trailer logistics,
    food and beverage distribution, distribution center logistics, port operations, etc.)

 

Skills:

  • Customer relationship management CRM software (i.e. Salesforce, etc.)
  • Google workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, etc.)
  • Business intelligence and data analysis software a plus (i.e. Google Datastudio, Qlik, etc.)
  • Experience using AI prompting to generate high-value, reliable business results (i.e
    Gemini.)


Education:

  • 4 year university degree (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain) or 6+ years work experience
    according to the above criteria.
