Production Engineer

Production Engineering defines and works out how the product will be manufactured and assembled on the production line, ensuring the right quantity of components/products are delivered and aligned to support the speed of the production line.Responsible for implementation of production processes and procedures, leading productivity improvements including new product introduction and manufacturing process flow design to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs,with lean methodology and PE tools such as VSM analysis principle and skill,6 sigma tools, MES and Andon system in shop floor, Bottleneck Analysis,Heijunka,Fishbone diagrams,etc

Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. Responsible for process improvement of existing production line, Productivity improvement, cost reduction of existing products via MES and andon system datas analysis.
  2. Responsible for fixture,jig,spreader design, tracking the manufacturing schedule and technical guidance.
  3. Responsible for manufacturing technology and quality problems in the process of analysis, and put forward solutions
  4. Manage the new production introduction ensuring cost, schedule, budget and performance requirements are met.
  5. Responsible process design, prepare SOP , review PBOM and maintenance in ERP system.
  6. Optimize line layout, implement lean production,optimize material replenishment flow. Ensure process provides a high level of safety and ergonomic compliance.
  7. Review all issues of process to generate the direction or solution. To work together with crossfunction to do troubleshooting with quality tools like fish boe, 5 why etc.
  8. Draft and design plant layout , product layout and material flow with lean principles.
  9. Set up the product standard time and optimization, capacity analysis.
  10. Share lessons learned with other plants, including technical information, components drawings and specification.
  11. Continually improve the assembly quality and efficiency by optimizing the assembly process.
  12. Support Asian sales in projects.
  13. Tooling /fixture /Jig/ spreader supplier selection assessment and evaluation annually
  14. Local components testing for qualification purposes.
  15. During the production process designing and improvement, taking ergonomics into account and reducing therisk of OHS from the source.
  16. Perform the safety production responsibility system through effective implementation of the safety production requirements as well as rules and regulations of the company;
  17. Strictly abide by company’s safety rules; to ensure the implementation of safety as a part of main responsibility in accordance with the company’s EHS requirements; responsible for daily operation, safety and environment and properly using PPE
  18. Other tasks assigned by the Supervisor

What you’ll need to succeed

Experience

  • 5+ years’ PE experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
  • Experience in automatic/ manual assembly process
  • Experience in smart factories and digital manufacturing systemsis preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor or above in Mechanical & Electrical engineering

Skills

  • Problem or critical situation solving skill
  • Cost saving oriented thinking
  • Basic production quality knowledge, project management.
  • Reading and understanding of drawings
  • Technical background is better.
  • Familiar with lean production and tools/methodology.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
  • Good at MS office software application
  • SkIlled in AutoCAD etc drawing software
  • Familiar with the knowledge of ergonomics.
  • Good team spirit and communication skills
  • Good oral and written English skills
