As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing Kalmar and third-party equipment. Reporting to the Head of Service, you will ensure high-qualtiy maintenance support while delivering exceptional customer service through your technical expertise and professional interactions.
This is a site based role, working shifts, requiring a proactive approach to diagnostics, repairs and continue improvement of equipment performance.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

Technical Expertise: Proven skills in maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems. The ability to read wiring diagrams and experience in fault-finding and diagnostics of PLC and CANBUS systems.

Customer Focus: Ability to deliver exceptional service through clear communication, detailed reporting and a problem-solving mindset.

Experience: Previous work in a similar role, ideally with forklift trucks, empty container handlers, terminal tractors and trailers, RTG cranes, STS cranes and, of course, Kalmar products.

Location: Reside within 1 hour of Belfast Container Terminal.
