Product Technical Support Engineer

We're making every move count
Key player responsible for product support of the equipment to the dealers/customers. This include:-
- Warranty Management
- Product support
- Training for customers/dealers
- Technical report and literature writing
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Involvement in vehicle navigation and project commissioning, testing and troubleshooting.
- On-site hardware and software troubleshooting
- Work closely with customer’s engineering team to provide technical consultation and on- and off-site support.
- Advise customers/dealers for all warranty issues
- Conduct technical investigation and ensure prompt closure
- Review the technical challenges and propose suitable technical solutions
- Liaise with factory Central support team to address the product support issues
- Provide technical training to dealers/customers
- Provide technical training to internal technical staff
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior
What you’ll need to succeed
Education & Experience
- Degree in Electrical/Degree in Mechanical/Degree in Mechatronic or Diploma in Engineering field with 10 years of working experienced
Skills & Competencies
- At least 5 years of experience in hands on experience of container handling equipment (eg. Rubber tyred gantry, Quay cranes, Straddle carriers, Container handlers, forklifts and terminal tractors)
- Good knowledge in high voltage, engines, transmissions, hydraulics systems and electrical systems
- Background in Control Systems and/or Mechantronics is a plus
- Team player
- Possess great problem solving skills
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be independent and possess initiative
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and provide necessary technical support
- Travelling is required
