As an Intercompany Accountant at Kalmar, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions between our global entities. You’ll help drive seamless period-end closings, maintain the integrity of intercompany balances, and collaborate with teams across the organization to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Record, verify, and manage intercompany financial transactions across Kalmar’s global operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of intercompany activities during month-end and quarter-end closing.
  • Manage intercompany recharges, match balances, and resolve discrepancies to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
  • Oversee invoice flows, and execute netting activities in line with the Group netting calendar to ensure deadlines are met and intercompany balances are accurately settled.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to clear aged items, strengthen compliance, and continuously improve intercompany accounting processes.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in an international or multinational environment.
  • Experience with SAP is considered a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common business applications.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking with a process-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
