Junior Accountant

We at Kalmar are seeking a talented Junior Accountant to deliver RTR services in line with customers’ needs and expectations.
The position requires working from the office for the first 6 months.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting accounting services for selected processes and countries, including accounting for and coordinating the month-end general ledger close, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide support for roles in the area of Record-to-Report.
- Responsible for financial reporting operational activities.
- Handle ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.
- Follow internal control procedures and all accounting policies in accordance with CAS and the internal control framework.
- Deliver error-free processes.
- Build supportive relationships with peers and colleagues.
- The role executes ongoing control over the accounting activities in the respective ledger for which it is responsible.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in finance operations
- Experience handling simple queries
- Good MS Office skills and ERP knowledge
- Strong team player
- Problem-solving attitude
- Ability to demonstrate analytical skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive in taking initiative to improve personal and team work practices
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
