We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Travel and Expense Management to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role, you will deliver high-quality Travel and Expense (T&E) services to employees, ensuring smooth processes, compliance with policies, and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in travel and expense management within an international environment and make an impact on Kalmar’s global success.

What are your key responsibilities:

 

  • T&E operations: Perform travel and expense activities independently, including reconciliations, credit card administration, employee support, and reporting.

  • Customer support: Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, provide training, and resolve escalated cases to ensure excellent service.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with travel suppliers, Kalmar travel coordinators, the Global Travel Manager, and other process teams worldwide.

  • Process expertise: Build strong end-to-end knowledge of Kalmar’s T&E processes, act as subject matter expert, and suggest/implement process improvements.

  • Projects and compliance: Participate in global travel-related projects, ensure adherence to policies and controls, and maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness.

What you bring to the role:

 

  • Educational foundation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration.

  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Technical skills: Strong knowledge of T&E tools and ERPs; experience with SAP and G-Suite is an advantage.

  • Professional mindset: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize multiple activities.

  • Collaboration and communication: Full professional proficiency in English, strong interpersonal skills, and an international mindset.

  • Proactive approach: Ability to take initiative, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
