Senior Specialist, Travel and Expense Management

We are looking for a Senior Specialist, Travel and Expense Management to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role, you will deliver high-quality Travel and Expense (T&E) services to employees, ensuring smooth processes, compliance with policies, and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. What are your key responsibilities:

• T&E operations: Perform travel and expense activities independently, including reconciliations, credit card administration, employee support, and reporting.

• Customer support: Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, provide training, and resolve escalated cases to ensure excellent service.

• Collaboration: Work closely with travel suppliers, Kalmar travel coordinators, the Global Travel Manager, and other process teams worldwide.

• Process expertise: Build strong end-to-end knowledge of Kalmar’s T&E processes, act as subject matter expert, and suggest/implement process improvements.

• Projects and compliance: Participate in global travel-related projects, ensure adherence to policies and controls, and maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness.

What you bring to the role:

• Educational foundation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration.

• Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience.

• Technical skills: Strong knowledge of T&E tools and ERPs; experience with SAP and G-Suite is an advantage.

• Professional mindset: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize multiple activities.

• Collaboration and communication: Full professional proficiency in English, strong interpersonal skills, and an international mindset.

• Proactive approach: Ability to take initiative, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
