Trainee Finance, Invoice to Pay

We are seeking a talented Trainee Finance, Invoice to Pay to support the Kalmar Finance processes. The position is part-time or full-time, with an option for 4, 6 or 8 working hours per day.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Support accounting and finance services for selected processes and countries, including coordination of month-end general ledger close and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with transactional activities under supervision within the finance function.
  • Support operational activities related to financial reporting and handle ad-hoc requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support end-to-end accounting processes, including Invoice-to-Pay activities and their reflection in the financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with established processes and controls.
  • Assist Solution Owners and Process Owners in the continuous improvement and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures across the company.
  • Performs basic data entry and general research of data within the department systems necessary to update and maintain account information.
  • Verifies data entry of account information in multiple systems. Clears and matches account information.
  • Support the Supervisor/TL in the communication/escalation process to ensure alignment of interested parties.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager related to the areas of accountability.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • In last years of studies in Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or recent graduate experience
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in an international environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Time Management
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Logical thinking
  • Process oriented mindset
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English
