Trainee Finance, Record to Report

We are seeking a talented Trainee Finance to support the Kalmar Record to Report team. The position is available on a part-time or full-time basis, with options for 4, 6, or 8 working hours per day.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Support accounting and finance services for selected processes and countries, which may include accounting for and coordination of the month-end general ledger close and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with transactional activities and financial reporting operational tasks under supervision, related to the finance area.
- Handle ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.
- Support end-to-end accounting processes: Order to Cash, Invoice to Pay, Record to Report, HR activities, and ensure they are accurately reflected and accounted for in the books.
- Ensure process compliance.
- Assist Solution Owners and Process Owners in continuous improvement and the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures within the company.
- Ensure all client billings are sent out promptly in accordance with the established schedule and include appropriate supporting documentation for reimbursable expenses.
- Perform basic data entry and conduct general research within department systems to update and maintain account information.
- Verify data entry of account information across multiple systems and ensure account details are cleared and matched correctly.
- Support the Supervisor/TL in communication and escalation processes to ensure alignment among interested parties.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager related to the areas of accountability.
What you’ll need to succeed
- In the final years of study for a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, or a recent graduate.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience in an international environment.
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Process-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
