Trainee Finance

We are seeking a talented Trainee Finance to support the Kalmar Finance processes. The position is part- or full-time, with an option for 4, 6 or 8 working hours per day. 

 

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

 

  • Support accounting and finance services for selected processes and countries, which may include accounting for and coordination of month-end general ledger close, preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support transactional activity with supervision related to finance area.
  • Support financial reporting operational activities.
  • Handling ad-hoc requests on a timely manner.
  • Support end-to-end accounting: Order to Cash, Invoice to Pay, Record to Report, HR activities, and how they are reflected and accounted for in the books.
  • Ensure process compliance.
  • Support Solution Owners and Process Owners in continuous improvement and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures within the company.
  • Ensure all client billings are sent out on a timely basis in accordance with set schedule and including appropriate supporting documentation for reimbursable expenses.
  • Maintain client files in digital format.
  • Process and post cash receipts; apply all payments to accounts receivable sub-ledger; make necessary adjustments in accounting system.
  • Performs basic data entry and general research of data within the department systems necessary to update and maintain account information. Supports customer requests for special billing services.
  • Verifies data entry of account information in multiple systems. Clears and matches account information.
  • Performs clerical functions necessary to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
  • Daily CG Support and Escalation ServiceNow ticket support.
  • Support the Supervisor/TL in communication/escalation process to ensure alignment of interested parties.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager related to the areas of accountability.
  • All work needs to be conducted in compliance with Global Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, controls and legal requirements.
     

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

 

  • In last years of studies in Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or recent graduate Experience
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in an international environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Time Management
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Logical thinking
  • Process oriented mindset
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Full professional proficiency of written and oral English
