We are looking for a Specialist, Cash Collections to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring healthy cash flow by managing customer collections, resolving disputes, and working closely with internal teams and customers across the globe. This is a great opportunity to build your career in an international finance environment while contributing directly to Kalmar’s financial stability and business success. The planned starting date for this role is April 1, 2026.
The position requires working from the office for up to 6 months (a hybrid model is also possible upon line manager approval).
What are your key responsibilities:

Collections & customer follow-up: Manage a customer portfolio and perform collections activities through calls and emails, secure promises for payment, and follow up according to agreed schedules.

Dispute management: Create, monitor, and resolve disputes, ensuring every case has a clear action plan and timely escalation when progress or payments are at risk.

Cash application & data quality: Ensure incoming cash is correctly applied, support the resolution of unallocated payments, and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and collection data in the systems.

Performance, reporting & compliance: Meet collection and activity targets, provide reporting and portfolio updates, support month-end close activities, and ensure compliance with the Collections Playbook, policies, and procedures.

Process improvement & teamwork: Contribute to continuous improvement, keep work instructions and training materials up to date, and support onboarding and collaboration within the team.

What you bring to the role:

Education & experience: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics with minimum 2 years of relevant international experience in Finance/Accounts Receivables.

Finance & systems skills: Good understanding of finance and cash collections processes with preferable skills in Google Workspace Products, but not mandatory. Finance reporting through Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts and the ability to work confidently in finance systems and ERPs (SAP).

Customer & communication skills: Professional and confident communicator in English, able to work with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and secure payments.

Analytical & process mindset: Strong analytical, logical, and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and follow agreed processes.

Adaptability & teamwork: Comfortable working independently and in a team, open to learning, and able to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
