Logistics Specialist

Purpose of the position

We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to oversee deliveries, invoicing, and customer service within a designated region. This role requires close coordination with central warehouses, logistics providers, regional frontlines, and internal supply chain teams to ensure smooth logistics operations and high customer service levels.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Support 3PL providers in organizing deliveries from Kalmar Central warehouses.
• Assist customers in designated regions with logistics-related issues.
• Prepare and review import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs paperwork.
• Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
• Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and transport providers to arrange cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Monitor shipments to ensure timely deliveries, resolving any transportation-related issues.
• Contribute to transport optimization within the assigned region to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Work closely with internal teams (supply planning, sales, and customer support) to manage direct deliveries, customer claims, and returns.
• Act as the primary contact for external stakeholders, including customs authorities and logistics vendors.
• Generate regular reports analyzing customer shipment profiles and key logistics metrics.

What you’ll need to succeed

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain.
Experience: 1-3 years in a similar logistics role.
Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs regulations.
• Strong customer service mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.
