Plant Director

Purpose of the position

As Factory Director, you will lead the daily operations of Kalmar's production facility in Poland, ensuring alignment with our financial and operational goals. This role encompasses oversight of production, quality control, engineering, procurement, logistics, finance, and administration. Reporting to the President of Counter Balanced Division, you will drive strategic initiatives and foster a culture of excellence across all levels of the organization.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
• Oversee production planning and performance to meet established targets.
• Manage and mentor department directors and operational teams, focusing on professional growth and goal achievement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and ethical standards, integrating continuous improvement practices.
• Represent Kalmar in dealings with external organizations, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders.
• Champion the Integrated Management System, enhancing our standards in quality, environment, and occupational health.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (technical or economic fields preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 6 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably at least 10 years in leadership roles within international production companies.
• Skills:
  • Strategic decision-making and change management.
  • Strong leadership and team motivation capabilities.
  • Fluent in English with excellent computer literacy (Office Suite).
• Traits: Charismatic, assertive, creative, and communicative.
