Process and Quality Engineer
Purpose of the position
Prepare production implementations and make ongoing technological changes to reduce costs and optimise production, increase labour productivity and ensure the highest product quality.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Optimize production processes to align with business needs and growth strategy.
- Design and configure production and assembly layouts for maximum efficiency.
- Select and implement optimal manufacturing and assembly methods, tools, and technologies.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring smooth integration into production.
- Support technical documentation, including product specifications and process guidelines.
- Manage engineering changes (EO & ECR) for seamless transitions and minimal disruptions.
- Develop standardized workstation and assembly instructions to enhance efficiency.
- Continuously improve production processes to boost productivity and quality.
- Streamline component management and optimize operational flow.
- Apply LEAN methodologies to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Lead or contribute to CI & EUREKA projects to drive innovation.
- Optimize production tools for efficiency and technological advancement.
- Use quality assurance methods to enhance production line efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with the highest quality standards in manufacturing.
- Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate production non-conformities.
- Support corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve supply chain processes.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Maintain professionalism and commitment to high-quality work.
- Continuously enhance the Integrated Management System (quality, environment, H&S).
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
Experience:
- 3+ years as a Production Engineer or Technology Specialist in machine assembly.
Required Skills
- Basic CAD proficiency.
- English (B1/B2) communication skills.
- Understanding of hydraulic & electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong teamwork & collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- ERP system experience.
- Knowledge of welding & materials science.
- Familiarity with electrical & control systems.
- 3D design proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
- Quality assurance & Lean Manufacturing (5S) experience.
- Advanced English (CAE level).
