Sourcing Specialist

Purpose of the position

To execute the company’s sourcing strategy by developing the supplier base, negotiating cooperation terms, and optimizing costs within a specific product group.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategy aligned with Kalmar’s global procurement guidelines

• Negotiate commercial terms, framework agreements, and long-term contracts

• Achieve targeted cost levels and track savings

• Optimize costs, lead times, volume flexibility, and material availability for production

• Manage key suppliers as a Supplier Relationship Manager

• Monitor supplier performance (KPIs) and analyze results

• Actively participate in sourcing process development and support product development

• Search for suppliers in Eastern Europe, considering macro and microeconomic factors

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, legal regulations, and HSE standards

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (quality, environment, health & safety)

What you’ll need to succeed

Essential:

• Secondary education

• Experience in procurement or sales

• Experience in commercial negotiations

• Driver’s license (category B)

• Basic computer skills (MS Office)

• Communicative level of English

• Teamwork skills

Preferred:

• University degree (technical, logistics, economics, or finance)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement for a large international manufacturing company

• Advanced English (CAE level or higher) and an additional foreign language

• ERP system proficiency

• Strong communication, assertiveness, proactivity, and engagement

• Availability for frequent business travel
