Trade Compliance Specialist

Purpose of the position

As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in overseeing and ensuring compliance with trade regulations and customs requirements. Your expertise will guide our logistics teams, ensuring accuracy in documentation, tariff management, and customs operations. You'll also lead training initiatives and collaborate with teams to optimize processes using advanced systems like SAP and OTM.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Manage trade compliance processes across global operations, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
• Oversee customs documentation, goods classification, and tariff exemptions.
• Educate teams on trade compliance best practices and the correct application of Incoterms.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade laws to mitigate risks.
• Act as a key liaison with customs authorities and external regulatory bodies.
• Implement and improve trade compliance processes, leveraging analytics to assess risks and identify opportunities.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade or related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in global logistics and trade compliance.
• Strong knowledge of customs operations, tariffs, and international regulations.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Fluency in English and a methodical, problem-solving approach.
