As an Electrician, you’ll be essential in keeping our automated operations running smoothly, performing maintenance and repairs on critical equipment including automated stacking cranes, Bromma Spreaders, Straddles, yard gate automation systems, and other necessary infrastructure. You will undertake daily duties as directed, ensuring that all work is completed economically, safely, and on time, while strictly meeting expected client quality standards and all technical requirements set by Kalmar.
What are your key responsibilities:

Electrical Expertise & Repairs: Perform and ensure all electrical work (planned, unplanned, and refurbishments) meets or exceeds Australian Standards, aligned with qualifications and licenses.

Maintenance & Data Management: Conduct routine maintenance and servicing, accurately record designated job/service data, and maintain detailed timesheets.

Safety & Compliance: Strictly comply with company OHS&E regulations, operate the Safety “tag out/lock out” process, complete risk/hazard assessments, and report fit for duty.

Administration & Reporting: Accurately and timely complete all required paperwork and software data, including shift logs, toolbox, pre-start inspections, SWMS, and risk assessments.

Professional Conduct & Liaison: Represent the company professionally to clients and effectively liaise with specialist contractors and providers as required.

Asset Care & Cleanliness: Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and the working area in a clean and tidy condition.

Qualifications: Possess an Unrestricted Australian Electrical License and a current Australian Car Driver's License.

Specialized Safety Licensing & Roster: Hold a High-Risk License for Elevated Work Platforms (EWP), with a Forklift Operator's license and Working at Heights (WAH) certification being preferred, and be fully able to work a 4-on, 4-off shift roster.

Extensive Experience: Several years of post-apprenticeship experience specializing in fault finding, repairs, and PM service on heavy plant, maritime, industrial cranes, and/or automated manufacturing environments.

Advanced Technical Skills: Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers), Siemens S7, AC & DC Variable Speed Drives, and High Voltage Isolation.

Diverse Equipment Knowledge: Expertise in industrial electric motors (up to 800kw), hydraulic controls, Profibus/CANN bus communications, and power generators.

Key Competencies: Demonstrated qualities as a team player with an excellent work ethic, customer-orientation, the ability to "get things done," and cultural sensitivity.
