We are looking for a Head of Global Sales, Horizontal Transportation. In this crucial leadership role, you'll be responsible for motivating and leading the HT sales team to deliver sustainable growth. You'll ensure that robust sales strategies and execution plans are developed and implemented to achieve market share expansion in line with our long-term strategy. You are accountable for delivering on financial commitments - including revenue growth, profitability, and cash flow - while simultaneously strengthening customer relationships, driving competitive advantage, and positioning HT as the partner of choice in our markets. 

What are your key responsibilities:

 

Strategic Growth

  • Develop and execute growth plans to achieve market share targets across all regions and key accounts.

  • Oversee global route-to-market and cost of sales; drive improvements for efficiency, growth, and profitability.

  • Provide market intelligence to ensure alignment with HT’s strategic direction.

  • Lead the annual sales planning and budget process.

 

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the entire global sales organization, including Sales Project Leads, Support, Contract Management, and Development teams.

  • Build sales capability through training and coaching frontline teams in effective product selling.

  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration for a unified customer experience.

 

Financial & Operational Execution

  • Deliver on financial targets for revenue, profit, and cash flow.

  • Ensure effective contract management and competitive, profitable price setting.

  • Support and lead sales processes to secure key opportunities.

 

Customer Engagement

  • Maintain strong customer relationships through regular, multi-level engagement.

  • Lead key negotiations and equip the sales team to create value in every customer interaction.

What you bring to the role:

 

  • Education & Experience: MSc or other relevant university degree and/or experience, Global experience in leading sales of heavy equipment, Fluent in English.

  • People Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

  • Collaboration & Networking: Strong skills in building partnerships across functions and regions to achieve business goals.

  • Sales Leadership: Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and growing a global sales organization.

  • Change Management: Skilled at driving organizational change and fostering adaptability in teams.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
