We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team and manage our services pricing and discount strategies.

The Manager, Pricing will be responsible for managing and developing pricing strategies and discount policies for Kalmar’s services. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the competitiveness and profitability of our offerings while working closely with key stakeholders across the business.

 

This role is preferably based in Tampere, Finland, but we are open to considering other major Kalmar locations for the right candidate. Join us from a location that works best for you while being part of a global, high-impact team!

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Develop, manage, and implement services pricing and discount strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and market conditions
  • Oversee the periodical implementation of list prices
  • Monitor and measure services revenue and profitability development, taking corrective actions where needed
  • Conduct competitor price analysis and evaluate the competitiveness of Kalmar’s pricing offerings
  • Identify areas for improvement in profitability related to pricing strategy, spare part pricing, hourly rates, discounts, and delivery terms in cooperation with various business and market areas
  • Manage new price setting and respond to daily price requests, ensuring timely and accurate decisions.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

 Education:

  • A commercial or technical background, with a Master’s degree.

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing, ideally within a service-oriented business.

 

Competencies:

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of pricing methodology
  • Solid experience in service business operations
  • ERP systems knowledge is a plus
  • Proven ability to deliver results while meeting customer expectations
  • Strong decision-making and initiative-taking capabilities.
