Product Manager, Autonomous Vehicles to join our growing Automation business line.
As a Product Manager, Autonomous Equipment, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing Kalmar's autonomous product offering. You will be responsible for the product management of our autonomous terminal tractor solution and, in the future, expand your expertise to include autonomous counter-balanced machine solutions. Your focus will be on ensuring the competitiveness of our products in terms of customer-driven features, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), performance, reliability, and ease of deployment.You will be a key player in supporting sales efforts, representing Kalmar at industry events, and developing comprehensive sales and technical documentation.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Business Development
- Understanding the business environment including customer segments and competition
- Developing the go-to-market strategy to different customer segments and markets, and ensuring it gets executed
- Development of the strategic partnerships
- Development of the sales channels
- Pricing models and business models development.
Sales and marketing
- Build compelling product sales argumentation and material
- Represent the product in trade shows, webinars and other marketing events
- Support the sales teams with product expertise.
Strategic vision
- Develop a compelling product future vision
- Translate the vision into a robust roadmap
- Ensure that the development activities are aligned with the vision
- Communicate the vision to the internal and external stakeholders.
Product Excellence
- Ensure that product features meet and exceed customer requirements
- Drive product cost competitiveness through optimized TCO
- Ensure exceptional product performance and reliability
- Simplify deployment process for seamless customer adoption.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- MSc or BSc in Engineering.
Experience:
- Experience in logistics business is a benefit
- Demonstrated success in international sales of industrial products
- Specific experience with autonomous equipment
- Experience on product management of complex industrial products, consisting of hardware and software.
Competencies:
- Strong business-oriented mindset
- Wide technical understanding and a strong aptitude for learning
- Excellent social and communication skills
- Capability to travel frequently, (estimated 50 travel days/year).
