We are looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer to join our Lifecycle Solutions team within the Service Business division. Focusing primarily on sales support and technical solutions, you will help maximize asset lifetime value for complex industrial container handling equipment. Operating globally, you will back regional teams and market execution, tailoring your expertise to localized organizational setups. This position requires occasional travel to interface with customers and regional partners.

In this role you will report to the KMS Competence Center Manager and the location is Tampere or Helsinki, Finland.

What are your key responsibilities:

  • Commercial Ownership: Own and execute the order intake budget, margin targets, and growth strategy for specific lifecycle upgrades of complex container handling equipment.

  • Quote Customer Solutions: Structure competitive quote designs that align technically with standard engineering frameworks, safety requirements and project delivery capabilities.

  • Regional Enablement: Act as a strategic enabler and commercial coach to activate, train, and scale local country unit service teams to expand their specialized lifecycle portfolio competencies.

  • Sales & Negotiation: Directly drive pipeline management, engineer baseline configurations, prepare high-integrity commercial quotations, and lead negotiations to close final sales contracts in direct territories.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Lines, Engineering, Supply Chains and country units to validate technical feasibility, material availability,  delivery logistics plans and on-site works planning.

  • Pipeline Forecasting Transparency: Maintain pipeline tracking precision within a ±10% margin and drive operational dashboard visibility using Salesforce, SAP, and QlikSense.

What we offer you:

  • Rewards that truly count: We offer meaningful development opportunities through varied assignments, fair and gender-neutral pay, and flexible working conditions — all within a culture that values your growth and celebrates success.

  • Safety that moves us forward: Build your career with a company rooted in safety since the 1940s, ensuring stability and an environment that empowers you to speak and be heard.

  • Purpose that drives change: You'll contribute to solutions that transform global trade, creating environmental and operational innovations. You'll be in the driver's seat of ideas, developing digital technologies that set industry standards and position us as the forerunner.

  • People who move together: You'll collaborate with people who build lasting relationships through global expertise, connections, and a commitment to sustainability.

Become part of our global network of 5,200 professionals across 120+ countries, where your work drives innovation, sustainability, and meaningful impact around the world.

What you bring to the role:

  • Qualifications: B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or similar comprehensive knowledge gained through equivalent hands-on experience.

  • Sales Engineering Experience: Proven experience in sales engineering, commercial execution, or technical sales preferably within heavy mobile equipment, industrial container handling equipment, or cargo handling machinery.

  • Technical & Sales Acumen: Ability to balance direct commercial execution (pipeline management, technical quoting, and leading contract negotiations) with regional enablement (coaching, training, and workshops).

  • Software & Tools Proficiency: Preferred familiarity with CRM and ERP platforms, specifically Salesforce, SAP, and QlikSense, to manage pipeline visibility, navigate databases, check BOM, and analyze fleet retrofits.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities combined with a natural openness to collaborating, sharing ideas, and working together across Engineering, Supply Chain, and country unit teams.

  • Language & Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, allowing for clear and professional coordination with diverse global and regional stakeholders.
