As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage robust data pipelines and cloud infrastructure, supporting cutting-edge AI workflows that transform global logistics and supply chains. You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, product owners, and engineers to create scalable and efficient data architectures that drive innovation and operational excellence.
This role is based in Tampere with opportunities to engage with global teams.
What are your key responsibilities:

Data Engineering Ownership: Own and manage end-to-end data engineering workflows, ensuring smooth data flow and processing across cloud platforms.

Cloud Infrastructure Architecture: Architect, develop, and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud), prioritizing security, availability, and performance.

Pipeline Development & Optimization: Build and optimize scalable data pipelines that support complex analytics and AI use cases.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to translate data requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.

Data Governance & Quality: Develop and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

Reporting & Communication: Report progress regularly to the Head of Analytics & AI and Head of Digitalisation Solutions.

What you bring to the role:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, with proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines and production-ready algorithms.

Cloud & Programming Skills: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Google Cloud, and strong programming skills in SQL and Python; knowledge of PySpark, Java, or similar is a plus.

ETL & Data Modelling: Experience using ETL tools like AWS Glue or Azure Data Factory, along with best practices in data modelling.

Version Control & Documentation: Familiarity with version control systems (Git), documentation standards, and testing methodologies.

Analytical & Business Insight: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand data transformations and their impact on business outcomes.
