We’re looking for a Sourcing Specialist to manage and develop a defined group of suppliers within one of our key divisions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving excellence in Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance, while proactively managing supplier-related risks.

 

As a valued member of the sourcing team, you will work closely with both divisional and central stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment and execution. Your focus will include overseeing supplier performance for ongoing production and supporting successful new product launches. This role demands strong supplier relationship management, negotiation expertise, and a results-driven mindset to deliver on strategic sourcing goals.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Lead supplier selection and manage a defined supplier portfolio to ensure top-tier performance in quality, delivery, cost, and risk management

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and contribute to profitability by implementing strategic sourcing and supplier optimization

  • Manage supplier relationships throughout the product lifecycle—from current production to new product introductions - ensuring alignment with organizational goals

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms while ensuring compliance with company standards and sustainability objectives

  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and regular business reviews, taking corrective actions when necessary

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sourcing strategy, new part introductions, and continuous improvement efforts

  • Maintain accurate sourcing data in ERP systems and ensure adherence to sourcing processes and safety regulations.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or engineering or equivalent experience 
  • A Master’s degree is a plus but not required.

 

Experience 

  • A minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Experience in electrics.

 

Competencies 

  • The ideal candidate will bring purchasing/sourcing/supply chain experience with an in-depth knowledge of people and processes, preferably with an OEM or tier 1 supplier environment
  • Value Engineering/Cost Reduction & Standardization experience highly preferred
  • Project Management experience is an advantage
  • Understanding of contract management and good negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Understanding of an ERP system
  • Domestic and possibly international travel requirements are estimated to be 5% - 10%
  • Very good communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge in Total Quality Management, Lean Manufacturing, ERP/MRP systems, and Supply Chain optimization is valued
  • Proficient in the use of Google Suite, including Sheets, Slides & Microsoft office software.
