We are looking for a motivated and analytical Demand Planning Trainee to join our Spare Parts team. In this role, you will help oversee and optimize demand forecasting and planning processes for a selected scope of spare parts. Your work will directly contribute to aligning our supply chain with market needs, ensuring superior customer availability, efficient inventory management, and cost control.

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to ensure timely product availability while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the S&OP process
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Markets, and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts and foster a culture of communication and cooperation
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret market and supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and risks
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek and implement opportunities to improve demand planning processes
  • Risk Management: Assist in developing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure business resilience
  • Cost Management: Contribute to initiatives that reduce supply chain costs without compromising service or quality
  • Reporting: Help prepare regular reports and KPIs for senior management on demand planning and inventory performance.

What you’ll need to succeed

 

Education:

  • Current university or university of applied sciences student studying commercial, technical, or information management disciplines.

 

Experience:

  • Familiarity with SAP, JIRA, QlikSense, and Google apps is appreciated but not required
  • Experience with Google Looker Studio and/or aftermarket spare parts business is a plus.

 

  • Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, customer service-oriented mindset
  • Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
