Kalmar is looking for a trainee to join Kalmar Terminal Tractors Global Sales and Product Management team. The purpose of the position is to provide market, pricing and business intelligence insights to Kalmar Terminal Tractors Division Management in order to manage the sales and product development activities across different regions (Europe, AMEA and AMERICAS). This is an unique opportunity to work close to frontlines, product management and Kalmar Terminal Tractors division management and help them to make data-driven decisions.
This position is located in Tampere or Helsinki. The trainee period lasts from May to the end of August, but exact duration can be agreed with some degree of flexibility.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Analyze data to generate insights for improving business performance
- Conduct sales pipeline analysis and reporting
- Assist in formulating pricing strategies
- Perform pricing analytics using public data sources
- Support in product portfolio analysis
- Prepare studies and presentations for Kalmar management
- Support strategic projects and coordinate activities
- Ad hoc assignments for Terminal Tractors Leadership Team.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 3-4 years of studies for M.Sc / B. Sc degree in an area of business, industrial engineering or other applicable field
- International experience seen as an asset
- Knowledge of Logistics business (Container terminal, intermodal facility, trucking industry, etc.) seen as an asset
- Initiative and self guiding attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally
- Systematic and proactive way of working
- Technical skills in data analysis
- At least basic understanding of business intelligence tools (QlikSense, Data Studio, Excel)
- Presentation skills
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional language skills such as, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, and Finnish seen as an asset.
