As our Service Operations Development Trainee you will become a valued part of a global organization supporting service teams worldwide. Our team develops digital tools and performance dashboards that enable profitable and efficient service operations across Kalmar.

 

In this role, you will help us make every move count by contributing to the development of digital solutions and reporting tools that directly support maintenance delivery in our Front Line Units (FLUs). You will participate in the further development and deployment of digital tools and perform data analysis to support operational and financial performance. The impact of your work will be visible through improved efficiency, transparency, and decision-making in service operations.

 

This is a fixed-term summer traineeship, based in Tampere. The position runs approximately from early May to the end of August, with exact start and end dates to be agreed with your manager.

What are your key responsibilities:

 

  • Analyzing Business Performance: Support business performance analysis for our On-Demand and Contract maintenance operations using data to find improvements.
  • Driving Digital Adoption: Support the implementation and adoption of our SAP-based maintenance scheduler "UpTime".
  • Global Collaboration: Interact with our EU-based offices and global units to ensure our tools meet the needs of the business.

What you bring to the role:

 

  • Early Exposure & Curiosity: Background in data analytics, engineering, operations, or change management is an advantage. Enthusiasm and willingness to explore and learn are key.
  • Proactive & Learning-Oriented Mindset: Improvement-focused, with a can-do attitude and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Customer-Focused & Problem-Solving Skills: Enjoys analyzing data and processes to find solutions, with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Communication & Tool Enthusiasm: Fluent in both written and spoken English and eager to work with tools such as SAP, Qlik Sense, SQL, or Looker Studio.
