We are looking for an Accountant to join our Record to Report team in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting selected countries and processes across the full accounting cycle – from daily postings to month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations. You will work closely with local business partners and global stakeholders, gaining a true end-to-end view of financial statements and the Record-to-Report process. What are your key responsibilities:

 

  • End-to-end accounting: Handle daily accounting operations and ensure accurate and complete financial records across assigned entities and processes.
  • Month-end close & reconciliations: Coordinate the general ledger close, report actual data for group consolidation, prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure the quality and integrity of financial information.
  • Business partnership: Act as the main point of contact for selected local partners and processes, communicating daily to resolve issues and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Issue resolution & controls: Investigate discrepancies and unusual events, work with the Supervisor to resolve issues, and deliver services in line with agreed controls and procedures.
  • Audit, transitions & process ownership: Support internal and external audits, Process organization, and participate in transition activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you bring to the role:

 

  • Education & experience: University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics and 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting operations.
  • Accounting & process knowledge: Understanding of the Record to Report (R2R) process and experience handling simple to complex finance queries.
  • Systems & tools: Proficiency in ERP systems and Google Workspace.
  • Analytical & quality mindset: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Communication & collaboration: Full professional proficiency in English, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders.
